Nea Moudania

Nea Moudania today constitutes the main commercial, economic and intellectual center of Halkidiki.

They are 60 km from the city of Thessaloniki and are very close to Dionysiou Beach. The Halkidiki Bus Company connects Nea Moudania with Thessaloniki and all of Halkidiki daily, with regular routes. The “Macedonia” airport is located just 35 km from the city.

Just before you see the city, a landmark is the vast olive grove, which in 1923 was one of the motivations for the pioneers of Moudani to settle there.

After the olive grove, you can admire the vastness of the sea, ready to welcome you into its aquatic embrace. Its depth is ideal for its young visitors but also for those whose performance is not so remarkable.

At the highest point of the city, the so-called hill of “Panagia Korifini” there is a beautiful three-aisled basilica church built in a magical environment.
